We are a community volunteer group based in our own bright, airy space and garden at Sandford-on-Thames’ Village Hall. We run a café, convenient shop & community activities.
We offer a safe, friendly space to shop for a wide range of fresh fruit & veg, bread, eggs, meat, dairy and lots more.
We buy from lots of local suppliers as well as stocking bigger brands.
We have a great line of refills from Oxford-based SESI.
SHOP INFORMATION
Our opening hours are Mon to Fri 9:30am to 4.00pm, Saturdays 9.00am-12.00pm.
- Our Café is fully open and you are welcome to sit inside, in our garden area or take away.
- Our weekday daily menu always offers home made soup served with bread, freshly prepared filled rolls, hot food specials and a variety of cakes.
- Our Saturday menu consists of egg, bacon or sausage rolls, vegetarian options and freshly baked pastries and cakes,
- Last food and drink orders are 15 minutes before closing time- Please come earlier in the day rather than near to closing time to avoid disappointment.
OUR ORDERS SYSTEMS
- Save time, make sure you get what you need and let us do the legwork for you. Pre-order your shopping and our team will pick and pack it for you. You just pay the invoice online (really easy and secure) and then pop by to collect during shop hours.
- Here’s the general process for pre-ordering:
- Orders will be prepared for delivery or collection on Tuesdays or Fridays.
- Please ensure we have your order the day before- Tuesday orders must be received by 11am on Monday, Friday orders must be received before 11am on Thursday.

Market, Shop & Breakfast café from 9am to 12pm
We also have a volunteer bike mechanic team – Spoke Shop – who offer basic bicycle repairs and friendly bike chat at clinics through the spring and summer.
Our lovely Afternoon Teas are back in action offering teas and delicious cakes,
and we are running a monthly Community Lunch every second Wednesday of the month.
